Credit Cards and Security

The Acme Online Store operates using a secure session within the shopping checkout, using an external payment system.  You will notice a padlock icon on the base of your browser when you enter into our 'checkout'.  This shows that all information entered in the session is SSL secured (128 bit).  Shopping Online is just as secure (if not more secure) than at any other time you may use your credit card.    The credit card details are supplied to a secure payment gateway operated by Securepay - a trusted Australian Internet payment gateway that enables secure online authorisation of credit card transactions over the Internet. The service offers Industry Standards Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption. Your credit card details are passed directly to our Internet Payment gateway provider and not stored on our servers.

We do not store your credit card details!  When you click the 'Place Order' button, we send the transaction directly to the bank.  We do not collect or share those details with anyone else.  Unlike giving credit card details over the phone, our online system automatically encrypts all your details.

Currency

Prices quoted on the Acme Corp web site are generally quoted in Australian Dollars and are inclusive of GST except where stated.  In some cases New Zealand dollars will be quoted, and in the wholesale ordering section prices will be quoted ex gst.
